i don’t know how some sites support the digg widget. both when i tried on this site and on my other blog thingsiask.com, digg was the culprit for making my page slow as the dickens. i still have it up at TIA cause i have a few nicely dugg articles, but i’m not sure if it’s completely worth it to have the widget up there.
it could just be blogger hating my guts but i guess that’s the price i pay.
also on that note, i think it’s funny that wordpress blogs get better SEO than blogger. blogger, even though owned by google might take up to a week or two to show up in search engine results.
however, when i first started this blog, i tried using wordpress, and my first blog showed up in Google THAT DAY. which sucked because then i had to wipe it from existence and it STILL SHOWS UP in Google even though it brings the user to an error page.
oh and on the digg note, i watched the second digg town hall live the other night and it was pretty amusing. i bet it would be fun to work for those guys. i think i met jay at the web 2.0 conference in san fran last year.. or maybe it was somewhere else. but anyway.. good to see that they appreciate community feedback and aren’t too worried about their brand to put on a live show.
