UPDATE: wooooo. New iPhone on July 11th. It’ll have GPS, 3G and it will be available in dozens of countries. I’m excited, but I do wish it was coming out before my vacation instead of the day after I get back. Ah well though!
So today is the day I feel like I’ve been waiting for all my life. No it’s not a diamond ring and wedding bells, it’s the new iPhone. Sure it’s not confirmed just yet, but twitter is literally shutting down sections of the website in order to keep tweets running during the WWDC due to anxious fans.
MacRumors posted a Worldwide Developers Conference 2008 Rumor Roundup which is pretty good, basically saying what is expected to be presented. 3G iPhone is almost definite, An iPhone with video conferencing has gone back and forth, GPS iPhone is idealistic but not very likely, a Tablet PC is very unlikely, and Mac OS X 10.6 ‘Snow Leopard’ won’t happen until 2009.
I did live (second-hand) coverage of the MacWorld keynote in January, but I have mucho things to do today so instead I’m excited to just watch and enjoy and/or bitch about the coverage over at MacRumorsLive.com who does a great job at covering the events. Engadget doesn’t do too bad of a job either.
Listropolis has a super list of all of the sites that will have a live feed or audio stream of the event.
