You know how in Star Trek when someone wants to look up some info they just walk up to a screen and say:

"Computer, tell me about ...Marie Antoinette, the Borg, the Web 2.0 boom/bust, whatever".

That's essentially how we use Google:

"Google, tell me about...etc"

Do we expect too much from Google? Probably. But they've put themselves in that position because they have created the expectation that they are the gatekeepers for ALL of the world's information. They aren't there yet, but that's their end game, and frankly, we would all benefit greatly if they succeed. So part of it too is that we're rooting for them, so we expect it of them.

Back to Star Trek--if those Trekkies want a document translated, they just have to say:

"Computer, translate this document."

If they want hot chocolate, they just say:

"Computer, I want hot chocolate."

I think we will probably expect Google to do that too down the road! :)
